help anyone?

I have shot some 60i footage on my dvx100b of smoke and then I appliead filters in fcp. I changed in easy set up to dv-ntsc timeline but after I imported. When I look at the footage I get thin horizantal lines that break the fluiditiy of the smoke. did I import with wrong settings? did I not use proper shutter speed? Could someone help me out with the root of the problem? thanks.

Are you watching it on an external monitor? Interlacing will look bad on a computer screen. Is that what you want? Why did you shoot 60i?

Of course it does. We just got thru saying it will on a computer monitor.

Look... interlacing is part of the game. If you want to buy an expensive camera learn what it does. Take some time to read up on interlacing and progressive footage.

Shoot 30p next time you want to go to the web.

Or deinterlace it in your NLE
