interlace lines

i keep getting interlace lines in the motion of my movie. why? IS IT THE SHUTTER SPEED CAUSING THIS?

Either shoot in progressive, or deinterlace, or watch on a device that can handle interlaced. Shutter speed has nothing to do with interlacing.

If you use Vegas, just render the vid, load it into a new project, right click on the video, go to "switches->reduce interlace flicker"

Vegas has "Allow pulldown removal when opening 24p DV". I don't know whether it works with PA footage.

If you use Vegas, just render the vid, load it into a new project, right click on the video, go to "switches->reduce interlace flicker"

This switch is for native interlaced video, it reduces interline twitter by filtering out fine vertical details. 24p should be edited in 24p timeline for best results.
