Interior Dialogue MIC

I bought a pair of 012s when I needed a stereo pair five or so years ago. I purchased them from 'The Sound Room' who tests and hand picks the best ones. Of course one pays more for this service. As was stated, handling and air turbulence are an issue as is the low sensitivity (-10mV), so a quiet preamp would be wanted as well. It is not a good for the inexperienced IMOH. Otherwise I like the sound. There's also the 'Dorsey' type mod available from Bill Sitler and Mike Joly to increase performance. Both the AT and the Audix are a good low budget option.

Hi All, Update I managed to get an AKG CK91 AND 93 Module with the SB Mic, I have ordered an Invision 7 Mount and a Rycote Soft 5cm windjammer for indoors.

Hopefully this will improve my indoor dialogue rather than using a shotgun.

Thanks

His Ollie,

You should get on fine indoors with the ck93 and no windjammer, tho' you might find it pretty useful if/when you venture outside with the hypercardioid.

Cheers,

Roland

I find a cheapo foam windscreen adequate for indoor use, unless I'm violently whipping the pole around or encounter abnormal air turbulence. A Softie or BBG is good to have around if one needs it fo' sure.
