Interesting rumor about Sony

I have no idea whether or not there is any truth to this, but generally the things announced on this site do come to market.
New Sony NEX-7 and A77, “one will supposedly have a 36MP translucent sensor optimized for video, with better video quality than the Canon 5D MKII”.

I read over on Sony Alpha Rumors that the A77 will be 24 mp APS C sensor and the next full frame Alpha would be around 34 or 36 mp but no new full frame this year.

I'm not sure if a 36 mp video camera is wise with line skipping and all.

A 12 mp sensor that records a 2k image with a proper LPF that gives us a clean 1080 picture with some type of 4:2:2 10 bit for under 8 grand would be fantastic

the rumor is the a77 and nex7 will have an aps 24mp sensor . There is another rumor that says a FF translucent version will have a 36mp sensor . See sonyrumors
