I have a copy and wouldn't hestitate to recommend it to anyone just starting out.

it is a really good book although it stops short of any specifics.
by that i mean it walks you through setting up a mixer but it doesn't really give any real world advice on setting levels other than the author stating that he always runs his levels so that the limiter is pretty much always on.
and although he says he has owned just about every mixer i have ever heard of his setup instructions aren't anywhere near what my 442 or 302 are like.
