I have Premiere CS3 which lets you work with P2 data. Hooray. I'm wondering if anybody can shed some light on the Intensity Pro card.
I'm just looking for timeline preview to an external anolog monitor using P2 and filmed at 24p. I've read the specs and it says it only supports standard def. at 525/29.97 NTSC.
Can't I just import my 24p .mxf files into their 29.97 timeline preset and call it good? I recently set up a regular NTSC 29.97 timeline in Premiere and imported .mxf p2 video that was shot at 24pa and the preview looked fine. Premiere does the pull down for me. I dont care if it doesnt let me capture at 24p since P2 is tape less.
If someone has an intensity card, could you do a test for me and see if you can preview 24p footage on the 29.97 intensity preset and tell me how it looks?
We would be using the anolog outputs and we shoot with a HVX.
Thanks!
