I have 4x LC-160s, the 2x2 bi-colour version. I space them out evenly and push all four through a 6x6 diffusion using this matthews piece - https://www.msegrip.com/products/double-ear-1-1-25-square-tube?_pos=1&_sid=561bc615f&_ss=r. It still doesn't fill the diffusion completely evenly, even when using full grid cloth.
You can see in the video on the matthews page a similar size to the megacloth. If I got the megacloth I probably wouldn't bother with such a deep "tray" and would use it as is in the name of speed. I'm sure it's fine plus it should be easy enough to add more diffusion.
If 6x megacloths make a 9x9 source, I think it'd be cool to space them out a little then put them all through a 12x12 frame using the double ears.
