Insurance???

Hi Everyone,

Got a quick question for anyone who runs their own production company and/or travels a lot for their shoots and has to provide insurance for sound stages when they shoot. Here's the question... What insurance company are you using?

I started my LLC years ago as a way of running taxes for my freelance edit work. In the past year, the company has grown and now I'm flying around the country producing shoots at multiple locations throughout the country. The majority of these sound stages require Limited Liability Insurance to allow you to shoot on their sites. I can not find insurance to save my life. I shot at one sound stage in Denver and the owner told me he used The Hartford. When I contacted them, they denied me because I'm flying around the country and shooting in multiple locations.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Chris

Serious insurance? or trying to "ride" on someone else's?

I have a company I use for production insurance, but you need a lot of info for them. So, you need to know everything about the production to get an accurate quote. Otherwise, you'll just get an "upper ballpark" figure.

PM me, and I will send contact info. My contact is extremely busy, so you need to be serious about getting actual insurance. No "looky-lou's". If you are just shopping around, cool. Do so. And then when you are done, then contact me for the info. Like I said, he is busy.
