Now i care about all the equipment very much and don't want anything to happen to it but i need to make money. Ok so does anybody here know where to get insurance for all of my equipment at.

Thanks

ive been using the hartford for a few years. i have a $72k coverage package that i pay about $700 a year for.

you need to be VERY clear with whatever carrier you choose, that you plan to be RENTING your gear out to 3rd parties. as thats a different kind of insurance than just biz property.

i use state farm with a personal articles policy. its about $10 per $1000 but i don't know if its covered if the stuff is broken in a situation where i am getting paid.

I use Hartford as well. I had to go through my agent, Lou Sands at G.A. Mavon and Co. 630 242-3176. Mavon offers decent insurance as well, but only for weddings and barmitzva videographers. Hartford does higher end stuff.

I was just thinkin about this today. I'm just a student and don't really shoot stuff for money reasons, but I definately would kill myself if my gear was stolen, so I'd like to have it insured but just dont know who to go through.

i was searching online for companies that mostly specialize in insurance for Camera equipment and came across these guys. there called Dewitt Stern Group, i priced out everything i own, and the quote they gave me to insure everything was pretty good. They're part of the Firemen's fund insurance.
