Insurance for equipment?

What is the best way to go about acquiring insurance for say $7500 worth of field equipment (HD camera, sticks, lens, shotgun mic, etc)?

Would it be smarter to claim the equipment under an LLC and just have business insurance or just insure the equipment as an individual?

Also, what are some good companies they you guys are using for a provider. I know that there are some that specialize in Video / Photography equipment but don’t really know who they are or anything about them.

about how much would the monthly payment be for say a 500 to 1000 deductible? I am guessing it that would be some offered deductibles but I have no clue...

Any help would be much appriciated,

Thanks

If you use the equipment for more than a hobby, normal insurance may have a hard time offering coverage.

I acquired an commercial liability policy for my LLC which includes $40k worth of equipment coverage for around $120 a month. Insurance is through The Hartford.

WeDJ offers cheap coverage but it is really for wedding videographers, not production companies.

C&S in NYC offers world class, expensive production company insurance.
