Instructional DVDs and books for filmmaking

Hey folks,

I've never had any formal training in film or video as I'm sure many of you here haven't either. I've picked up some books (5 C's of Cinematography, Rebel without a Crew, Guerilla Filmmaker's Movie Blueprint, Shot by Shot, Lighting for Digital Video) and a DVD set from Videomaker magazine.

Was wondering if any you could recommend some other good reference/textbook-type books or DVDs on video production, cinematographer, filmmaking, etc. I might get this set of DVDs: http://www.studio1productions.com/interactive-film-school.htm

I know this field is really about talent and creativity, but I'd like to have a good, solid technical foundation to build on.

Thanks!

If you watch the ad banners above, sooner or later the Hollywood Camera Work DVDs will show up. Not cheap, but worth a whole lot more than what they cost.

(But wait for the banner, or do a search for it to get the discount code. )

Hollywood Camera Work is very good. The 5 Cs of Cinematography is great as is Video Shooter by the DV Series.
