InstantHD on DVX Anamorphic

Just wondering if anyone can explain to me if InstantHD can handle DVX footage shot with an anamorphic lens? Since the DVX footage once expanded by software is 16:9, and HD format is 16:9 - is there a way for InstantHD to handle this and scale it appropriately? I did a a quick test last night and it appears not. It still treated it as standard format so everything looked squished. Did I miss a setting somewhere?
I'm using FCP on OSX 10.4.8
Thanks.
--EDIT--
Any takers? I'm posted over on RedGiant too so hopefully, someone there will have an answer.

Hi Duff. Once you have completed your edit. Export the file with the same settings as your existing timeline.

Then, open a new project in FCP with the new desired sequence settings. Say 1080 or 720, personally I wouldnt go above 720. I like a DVCPro timeline for this.

Then, import your file.

Then, apply the instant HD filter to the desired size.

Then export at the new file size.

willt his work if you squeezed then anamorphic adaptor on iit? do i hit the 16:9 feature in the 720 timeline to make it adapt?

Spidey seriously never tried to upres much. The best use I have found for instant HD is when I crop 4:3 footage in post and want to upres that to a full 16:9 image.

ncje - do you have any footage posted that was 4x3 cropped and converted to 16 x 9? Interested in this. I guess I could go with anamorphic adapter, but I like to shoot with a mattebox and filters and don't know how the adapter works with it?

Heh sorry, I purchased instand HD and used it in some tests, then moved to mac and HD.

Please instant message me with the results of your question. I have a simular set like you but have yet to experiment with my instant hd plug in. Very curious to what you come up with.

Thanks
