I edit with the latest Final Cut soft wear and recently got Red Giant Instant HD as a gift. I have yet to try it out. Just wondering if the hype is real. How would you rate it?

You said you have it, right? Why don't you try it out, and decide for yourself

Then you can report back with your view on it, and let us all know how it is :)

I have every intention of doing that, but before I do I would like to get some free field insight from those who know.

I got the software as a gift. I didn't even know it existed before I received it.

So please if anyone has any insight inlighten me.

I will be in the lab on Monday trying to put some of this feedback to use.

on the load disk it shows you this pretty picture in the park SD then added instant HD. there is no way i can get footage to look like that. so i dont see the sense in trying to i guess. i guess the best way is to have a company do it for you. i think the only thing id ever use it for was to go widescreen on my shots.

I hear ya. I saw the picts on the back too. That I will have to see or do to believe.

The wide screen thing sounds like it shouldn't take too much time though.
