Installed new RAM, FCP going crazy.

Installed Crucial (2x1GB) PC3200 in my Power Mac. It already had (2x512MB) PC 2700 in it. The RAM looks like its installed fine. Would the mhz difference cause any issues? I assumed it would just clock down to match each other. I'll have to do more testing but has anyone else come across this? Thanks.

It's a G5 1.6. It originally came with PC2700. I ran through the Crucial memory config on their site and it suggested PC3200. I'll pull the old memory out and see if anything changes.

Oh, it's a first gen Power Mac...I'm pretty sure it will only run, sucessfully, with the type that Apple recommends. I remember talking to an Apple rep and them saying that RAM in Mac's doesn't scale well.

Good luck
