I believe that every aspiring cinematographer should watch Baraka (Ron Fricke, 1992).

It was shot on Todd-AO (70mm) film.

One goal of this film was to show how motion picture can be just as visually fascinating as still photography. Of course with 70mm film, that helps a lot.

i think The Fountain (2006, Darren Aronofsky) was a very well cinematographized film (Matthew Libatique).

Moseph, I agree Seb is great. Nouvelle Vague (http://vimeo.com/1285626) made me want to get a camera. When ever I feel jaded with filiming I just go back and look at that.
