Hi there,

as I am new to this forum - I hope my thread fits into this area, if not please forgive me and move to the better fitting part of the forum - Thanks!

For my university degree in media design I am working on a documentary about my grandmothers escape from Poland to Germany at the end of WW2.
As I am in the research phase at the moment I am looking for documentary films, which include an interesting way of handling still photography.

I would love to see your work or I would really appreciate to get some hints to any other productions!

Many thanks in advance!

Cheers
Hendrik

Thank you so much! I do know the Ken Burns Effect, will definately have a deeper look at his work in Netflix :)

Thanks again your help is really appreciated- if you have any other ideas , please let me know!

I've seen the Ken Burns films. The pan-n-scan, the camera movement. How is this achieved? Macro lens, tripod, how else?

Dogtown and Z-Boys
1500 stills in the film, according to the editor Paul Crowder. Also check his other films. Riding Giants and Once in a Lifetime.

The Kid Stays In The Picture

But then dial things back to what works for you.
