Inserting clips into timeline

I've got a very long project almost done, but I may need to insert more soundbites into it. How do I insert these clips into the timeline without having to move everything after them? Is there an automatic mode in Vegas where it will move everything for me? And vice-versa, when I have to delete something...will it move everything back together for me?

With auto-ripple (CTRL + L) on, when you drop something new in the middle of the timeline, everthing after will move accordingly.
