I'm trying to do this shot where a GIANT beetle crawls on a guys wall in the background. Could I do this by shooting a beetle on a green mat or something and putting the two shots together. The bug has to appear to be more than 10 feet long.

Thanks

You can do that. Key issues will be getting full depth of field (if part of him is out of focus he's not goign to look 10 feet long) and matching the lighting (key light direction, sahdows, etc)

No need for green screen. Shoot the bug on the same colored wall. You've still got
to worry about lighting match and the texture scale, but you only need greenscreen
when you're replacing whats behind the thing you're keying.

In this case, its the wall thats being replaced, not a bug being placed on the exisiting
wall. Much easier.
