Inktip.com release form?

If you have questions in regards to signing a release form, I'd suggest making a copy of it, and as an attorney to give some advice. A good attorney will probably tell you not to sign it. In any event, make sure you register your script with the LIBRARY OF CONGRESS. WGA is only for five years...and in the end, is basically useless. Even Hollywood is reticent of copyright infringement. Now, in looking over the required form, it really isn't a RELEASE form in the true sense of a release form from a production company. It is basically requiring that you are the authorized author of the project, and that you are protected. InkTip is a good company. Signing is your decision. Remember, Library of Congress. A tip; if you're using a MAC, use FIREFOX to register your project, not Safari. Learned that the hard way.

... Remember, Library of Congress. ....

Totally agree. I register all my material online with the LOC. WGA registration imho is a joke, a waste of money. Registering with the Lib of Congress is so easy to do online, and for the fee paid ($35) will outlast me on this planet, instead of the imho stupid 5 years you get with WGA. Far more legal protections and remedies also by using the LOC over the WGA.
