Inexplicable shifts in text aspect ratio in FCStudio 2/Compressor

I exported a short film using Compressor and was mainly pleased with the result, however some titles are inexplicably getting squished (like there's some sort of funky aspect ratio thing happening). In order to give you a clearer picture of what I'm talking about jump to the film via this DVXuser screen grabs/clips thread. You can access the movie there.

I call your attention to two different spots in the film, one in the main titles the other at the end credits:

  1. Main title - At 10 seconds into the film the main title, "Forgotten," is squished. Notice the text in the remainder of the main titles are fine.
  2. End credits - The end credits start out fine, but then at 9:04 into the film the end credits go from normal to squished.
The funny thing is that these shifts in the text aspect ratio only occur when I export using Compressor, not Quicktime Conversion. WTF? Most likely I inadvertently pushed a button somewhere I shouldn't have. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Interesting. And sadly I have no explanation at all. Where did you originate your titles?

I know this is probably painful, but I have found that for titles that Motion does a much nicer job - it's my usual method and havent had any issues like this. I know this doesnt help your existing issue without you having to do them all again. Sorry I couldnt offer more there.

Hey, NCJE. Haven't cracked open Motion yet (trying to wrap my brain around FCP and Compressor alone is time consuming!), but that may be the route I have to go. No apologies necessary, I appreciate the suggestion. :)

fast fix. export quicktime movie with no conversion, as in full rez. then fly that into compressor and compress.

Hey, cheezweezl. Thanks for your suggestion. That sounds like a good workaround. The fact that and I get some strange aspect ratio glitch/artifact in Compressor, and not Quicktime Conversion, is totally perplexing. Oh, well. I'll give your idea a shot and report back.
