I need to finally buy a set of V mount batteries and charger to be able to run my 160W Intellytech LC-160. Up till now I've gotten away with Sony L batteries (including dual L to V mt adapters) for my smaller LED lights and Sony EX type batteries for there FS7. Unfortunately I realize there's no way its going to be cheap.
Any suggestions for relatively inexpensive but reliable batteries that I could also fly with that can handle a 160W load?
I gather that 98WH or less batts are the easiest solution for travel though up to 160 WH can be transported with some limitations . Part of a solution might include the Intellytech dual V mount adapter that can double up smaller batteries (98WH) to handle the higher load. 2 of those though are probably more expensive than 1 160WH batt.
Whatever the solution the batteries need to be rated for high load as well as the requisite WH's.
Also I'm a bit confused about how to read the specs for these batteries - Some will list the maximum Watts that can be drawn - that's easy to get. Others list a Amp maximum but I'm not sure how that translates to light at 160 Watts. That should be simple math but I'm not sure if the lights are actually drawing 12V or 14.8 V.
