Inexpensive shoulder rig

I've used this for HDV cameras and my T2i, I have the bruises to prove it. If you NEED a shoulder support for a shoot and you havent got the time to make something better then it will work. If you have the time to throw something together, and there are plenty of ideas on here, then go for something with a wider handle system and a better counter balance.

I like this rig for when I need it but it bruises my shoulder on the top and hurts my chest after a few minutes. Its also pretty tricky to walk without having some pretty shaky footage.

Its cheap yes but you get what you pay for. The main mount has two other pieces that let you offset the camera, on my rig both of these broke within the first hour. I just mounted a small tripod head to it and it works but the offset isnt very good for a DSLR rig.

I use one of these. Bought mine for only 20 bucks though. It does hurt your shoulder after a while, but it definitely is worth the price. I mount a t2i with battery grip and an LCDVF. The combined height is at exact eye level. It is a pain switching back and forth from shoulder rig, to tripod, but for my purposes, it's fine.
