Most inexpensive 55w biax flo light fixtures seem to be modeled more or less after Kino Diva lights.
Kino photomeric charts show that a 4 (55w) lamp Diva provides a light level of about 44 footcandles at 8'. I assume, based on the similarity of design, that similar Cool Light or DIY or other similar fixtures would provide about the same illumination levels.
Here's what's interesting: Kino Parabeam lights, using the same 4 (55w) lamps provide about 98 FC at 8'. They do it, as I undertand it, by holding the lamps in the middle of and away from a parabolic reflector that is both wider and deeper than the Diva reflector.
So - does anyone else offer (at a more affordable price) a flo fixture that can rival the output of the Parabeam?
