Listed are products we are looking into getting. What are the industry standards for these products? This will be used for live studio work as well as filming.

Audio Mixer
Video Mixer
Production Monitor
Lighting
Teleprompter
Crane
Tracks
Sound Proofing
Tripods
Headsets

Also what are your thought of a better camera for live production Red Camera or Panasonic AJ-HPX3700? I know I am shooting high, but just interested on your thoughts

Perhaps you should talk to a salesman...

Each one of those items has sparked dozens of threads of their own.

We would have to know your budget, and method of distribution among many, many other factors.

we are doing everything digital. The budget is roughly around $75,000.
I just wanted to know the industry standards for these things. such as lectrosonics is popular for wireless mics.

It all depends on what you are doing and how you are doing it. One set of lights might be perfect for one project and useless for another no matter how good they are. If you just want the reliable names do some searching.

Hi,

The industry standard for feild mixers is usualy an SQN 4ch.

The industry standard jib is the jimmyjib.

Thank you Hoarp,
I know I am being very veg but the information I am giving you is the information I got. I have do decide on some of these equipment in a few days. I was hoping to save time but not bothering with cheap and unrealiable eqiupment and focus on Pros. Just let me know some names that never let you down. It looks like we may get the Panasonic AJ-HPX3700 and we plan to do live production in studio. We will be using a reflecmedia light ring. for most of our productions. There will also be times where we will be filming outside and on location. If you are looking at my question and feeling overwhelmed imagine on how I feel =)

I don't mean any disrespect but I think you need to be a better steward of the $75,000 and slow down a bit. If you are throwing out names of higher end gear like Red and AJ-HPX3700 along with a laundry list of generic unknowns tells me that you are not prepared to make such a huge purchase in a short time period. People/Companies that purchase these cameras already have a strong knowledge based in supporting areas (audio, lights, tripods, etc). IMHO, you should go back to the money man and tell them you need more time to research to make a safer and more profitable decision.

Audio Mixer - Mackie (personal choice)

Video Mixer - I rent them as needed. Too pricey for my needs. VT4 maybe?

Production Monitor - Audio: M Audio, Mackie, Genelec. Video: Panasonic BT-LH. It matches my camera.

Lighting - Arri, Moles

Teleprompter - Prompter People with 17" screen. Just keep the price below $2K

Crane - Rent

Tracks - Rent

Sound Proofing - HOW MUCH MONEY DO YOU WANT TO SPEND? Putting fancy foam on the walls won't cut it. Think of your range like the transportation you use to get to work. You range from a skateboard to flying in your helicopter every day.

Tripods - To start, make sure it can support the weight of camera with teleprompter. A lot of options here. Sachter, Miller etc.

Headsets - Clearcom system or Headphones?

Ok, even with my off the cuff response to your list, you still need to do some serious research. To my knowledge, you cannot use a reflecmedia light ring with a camera mounted teleprompter. Speaking of prompters, what software will you need and how will you run it? You already have grip gear but no lights? How much light do you need? And so on?

Again, I am not trying to be rude. I am trying to save you from making a hasty purchase that could spell disaster later on. Without more detail it's hard to effectively help you beyond slow down and get more time.

Audio Mixer
A field mixer, like a portable 4-channel? I see more SD442's than anything else.

Production Monitor
Panasonic's BT-LH series dominates here, they're ubiquitous.

For tungsten, Mole Richardson. For fluorescent, Kino Flo. For HMI, probably Arri.

Jimmy Jib, or Techno Crane

Sound Proofing
Depends on what you mean. Need more clarification on this.

Depends on how heavy. Sachtler, Miller, Vinten all have fans.

For who? Camera operators? Or audio mixers?

Also what are your thought of a better camera for live production Red Camera or Panasonic AJ-HPX3700?
No question, the HPX3700. It's a broadcast camera. Red isn't a broadcast video camera, it's a digital cinema camera. The HPX3700 is designed to do what you're talking about.
