Hi Film Fans,
I want to bring to your attention a wonderful film called "indocumentados" directed by Leonardo Ricagni - an amazingly talented director. INDOCUMENTADOS is an intimate and spiritually evocative look at the lives of “undocumented” immigrants - "those we don’t see in front of us in our everyday walk of life" - struggling to survive in the post September 11th New York City. It is the story of how a bicycle destined to be shared, brings together different people from different cultures and religions and gives them an enlightened promise of hope in the darkness.
This film is an awesome example of MiniDV taken to the next level, it was shot in 24p with the Panasonic's DVX100 by really gifted cinematographer named Jose Maria Ciganda, Ciganda was mentored by a renowned cinematographer CESAR CHARLONE who so beautifully photographed "City of God". I had the priviledge of seeing this gem of film at the AFI Film festival last month and for me it was total poetry. I hope you folks get to catch it, it is trying very hard to make it's way through the festival circuit. I pray people everywhere desire to see this film.
In the meantime - you can at least view the trailer at the film's oficial website;
