Ok. Im about to buy one:

Indislider is 36" - $499

Pocket dolly 38", has crank handle, legs for table - $499.95

Any user that have used both, which one have smoother motion?
Looks like they use the same glide - rail system, pocket dolly looks like better deal but indislider is in the game longer..
what do you think?

yap, I forgot about glidetrack, they have most diy build look to me...
im leaning towards pocket dolly, but still not sure...

Eric Kessler make great stuff all-around. I have a 8' Kessler crane w/K-Pod and all the goodies, can't say enough about the quality of the gear! I'm waiting for the Pocket Jib myself.

jerryrain......just to let you know the $499 version of the kessler pocket dolly does NOT come with the hand crank. Another thing to keep in mind with that one.....unless you buy their $360 hercules head for the dolly, you wont be able to pan or tilt your camera while it is attached.....you can only go left to right and right to left with the camera facing forward. Also, if you dont buy the hercules head, you'll have to attach the slider to your tripod's quick release plate on one of the sides of the slider and then use a light stand or another tripod to steady the other side. I think its a great product but unfortunately its one of those things were they show you one price.....but you have to spend a lot more on other pieces of equipment for it just to be able to use it the way you want to.......Im pretty disappointed because why do I need two fluid heads? spend $400 on one that sits below the slider that wont really be used fully and then have another on top. They should have made the slider so that you could mount it on any tripod legs (in the middle) with a half bowl adapter and use your own fluid head on top without spending tons of $$$$$ on "their" stuff.

KCessler Pocket Dolly 2.0 Your looking at spending:
$649 (slider with crank)
$360 (hercules head)
$25 (flat mount adapter for you fluid head to mount on top of the slider to make it so you can pan and tilt)
TOTAL: $1034 at least.

I think this is a really neat piece of equipment...one that I would own if I didnt have to buy multiple things to use it.

For the price I think the indieslider pro is the best deal....for $634 you can get the slider and half ball adapter (I would need cause I have a half ball tripod). and that would be all you need.

Just my opinion.
