Indislider-mini problem...

I just purchased this with the pistol grip and use it for my T2i. I have to retake about 50% or more of the shots because when I try to slide, the plates start to "stutter" almost like there not enough friction. I can't explain the stutter, but a smooth shot will be in process and out of nowhere it wiggles like crazy and it's completely audible. I know you get what you pay for, but I at least expected this to work half decently. Did I get slider from a bad batch or is this just how it is?

I don't know much about that model, I think it uses the 8020 track product (http://www.8020.net/).

Techniques that are successful for me using an IGUS based slider are pushing from the base of the carriage not up at the camera. Also it helps to use your body from side to side with stiffer arms for smooth long slides. Make sure the rail is wiped down really well to remove any finger oils/grit anything that would make the carriage bind.

As photonashville said sliding holding the base from the bottom wrapping your hands around it will help with or stop the stutter. I have the 3 foot model that I put a full size SDX-900 on and it worked well even with a 100mm ballhead attached to a manfroto receiver. Very tall but worked. I'm thinking about getting a 701HDV or 501hdv so I can mount it flat on the base to keep it lower.
Hope this helps.
