Ok so I received my Indifocus FF after a bit of a wait ... One thing to keep in mind if youre ordering from Indifocus is that Tim (the owner) doesnt seem to like answering emails very quickly. I waited about 8 days before he answered my second email regarding where my order was at... But in fairness he did state after the 8 day email wait that he was sending the order that day, and true to his word he sent it.
Anyway, I ordered the FF Pro and a speed crank and today when opening the box was happy to see that it was packed very well and was all in mint condition which goes against other reports that I have read. I put it all together and am happy to report that there is zero (and i mean zero) backlash and seems very accurate. It fits onto my Letus rails nicely and is easily adjustable. It works well with my Canon FD lenses.
Now I know its early days and the longevity of the Indifocus is yet to be tested but I am quite happy with it overall and am more than happy with the no backlash situation of the gearbox.
Now for the downsides... The speedcrank is nothing more than a half inch socket drive with a 5/16 allen key jammed into it with some silicone cement. In hindsight I would not have ordered this. And I am yet another Indifocus customer that did not receive the focus stops....
Cheers
