indiFOCUS? Contact?

I sent an email to the contact email at the indiFOCUS site and haven't heard back yet. I also tried calling, but every time I do, I get a recording about the voicemail not being set up. Does anyone know another place to get rails and follow focus? I'm very interested, but some of the prices were pretty expensive compared to indiFOCUS. I really liked their prices, so does anyone know anywhere comparable? Or at least how to get in touch with indiFOCUS another way? Or does anyone have any information about them being unavailable at the time? Thanks so much.

Yeah, I'm interested in the indifocus as well, but the fact that people are having a hard time contacting them makes it feel like a scam. Also, I'm not saying someone cant be excited about a product, but StormFactory seems to be overly excited which makes me doubt his credability. He always adds a picture that looks like an advertisement for the indifocus. It almost feels like he gets commission for every unit sold. Anyways... Let me know how it goes, I am interested in the product as well, but I think I'll wait until someone else has had personal experience with these guys.

I have the indifocus. It works, but it doesn't feel like a legitimate piece of hardware. As soon as I have the money I'm upgrading to Redrock's FF.

Does Redrock do a follow-focus for the Letus Flip Enhanced? And rails? I mean, it's kind of weird buying their accessories for another 35mm adapter. I'm all for it, I just want to make sure I'm not stepping on anyone's toes.

I've owned the Indifocus for about a year now. It works fine in my book. I would recommend getting the gears and not using the foam wheel though if you are using it with a 35mm adapter. Some of the still lenses tend to have a pretty tight focusing ring and the foam wheel will slip.

The quality is decent for the price and I feel totally fine with having made the purchase. The only thing to be warned of is that there is a tiny bit of play in the gear box. The hand wheel will turn a very small amount before the the gears engage each other. Of course I have heard that this is the case with most all of the budget FF units (redrock for example). The play in the gears is very easy to get used to though and has yet to bother me or others using my camera.

I have had good experiences when communicating with the guy that makes the Indifocus (I can't think of his name right now...). I think I sent 3 or so emails to him which he responded to in less than a day. My brother-in-law also talked to him over the phone about the whip that now sells. That experience was great as well.

There are a lot of indie filmmakers who branch off and start making their own equipment (35mm adapters are a great example). Normally they are a one (or two) man operation, so customer service tends to slip from time to time. Is it good for their business... no. If the price is right though and the product is good... what can you do.

I remember a little hole in the wall teriyaki bowl place I used to go to in Colorado. The people were a little rude and the wait time was painful, but dang it if I didn't go back there every week because the food was soooooo good and the price was right.

Anyway the indifocus is not a scam. Just a nice little FF unit for a decent price. I'm sure he will get back to you at some point :)

Tim is the guy that makes the Indifocus. I know for a while there he was going between Iowa and Texas. He was back in Iowa for a while but may be on the road again.

He's a straight shooter and I know he'll respond when he can.

Redrock used the same gearbox Indifocus did up until a while ago when enough people complained about the play between gear teeth catching; then Redrock upgraded to fix it. indifocus is just a little too much of a pain for me to set up, and screws loosen over time.

I'll buy the Redrock follow focus, but does it work with the Letus and the A1? And are the rails going to support as well? I would just like to know that everything is compatable with my current setup before I purchase. Thanks all. All this info is GREAT.

The only problem with the redrock(for using with other adapters) is that it isn't really height adjustable. So, depending on your adapter's height from the rails you may have some problems. I know with my sgpro r2 unit the lens mount is not the standard height from the rails and i had a little problem finding a ring to go around the lens that would catch the ff. That was fixed with the r3 unit. Not sure how the letus stacks up.
