indiefocus

I am buying a ff and am considering buying the indiefocus. I was curious if those with it have further review after using with the HVX ? (I have searched past posts and I saw the post from april) Is it worth it to spend the extra money to get the geared, or is the gearless fine? What do you gain by going with a more expensive follow focus from other manufactures?

thanks
Jim

If you are not using a 35 adapter, look into the foxi FF. It is a remote camera ff system that plugs into the camera. I don't own one, but I have heard good things. Other then that I have no suggestions. Best of luck!

maybe an option, but haven't decided for sure yet on the m2. I am looking for an inexpensive yet quality solution. does anyone have anything else to offer as to the above?

I know Tim the guy that makes the indieFocus. He brought one over when I got my HVX200 to make sure it fit etc.. He'll stand behind his product.
The one we tried out on my HVX worked great. No slippage etc.
I'm not sure if he's officially selling his carbon fiber rods yet but those looked pretty sweet too. :)

I'll let him know about this thread and maybe you guys can talk directly.

As already stated, it won't do you any good for a 35mm adapter but I bought the Foxi FF a few weeks ago and am totally sold. Solid build, professional looking, works flawlessly.

I'm using the Libec ZC-3DV Mountable Zoom Control along with it -- nice combination.
