Hi guys, i'm planning on a cross country trip across Canada to promote my next doc, i'd be starting in Vancouver and ending up in Toronto or just past it.

I am looking for people who are from other provinces who know of indie theaters that i can reach in order to see if they would be into having my movie shown.

I would appreciate any info or help

thakns guys

I lived in Calgary for many years and "The Plaza" in the Kensington area is the City's main Indie theatre. Its the one that always does the "Spike and Mike's Twisted Animation Festival" screenings.

Well if you make it as far as Montreal, the AMC is a huge theater and it shows all the stuff that the other movie theaters never show. It's usually big indy stuff, but never go there very often, so I could be wrong.

In Toronto...
Bloor Cinema -very popular
The Royal -primo spot, just got redone, fantastic HD projector
The Fox -beaches area, fave of many
The Revue -more west-end, too far for me to travel for (mostly) second run films
Cinematheque -very small time, supports local filmmakers with providing a spot for free-to-the-public screenings. About as indy as it gets

wicked, thanks for the info guys!!!

im planning to buy a beat up van throw a logo on both sides and drive across canada :D

hopefully it pans out
