I was in a book store yesterday I was looking at the back pages of the mag Indie Slate. There it list all the movies etc that are in production, just finished, needing help etc. But it will list what camera or format being used. By far it looked like mini DV/24p was one of the biggest formats. Alot of those said DVX100. The first one and A, B.
Just a few XL1's and 2's were mentioned but not all listed the name of the camera. Just mini DV/24P. There was even a VX2100 or 2000 can't remember which.
There were plenty of listing that said HD. Not the name of the camera much under HD for some reason. One or two HVX200 and not very many HDV camera's. One listing for the Canon H1. I could have missed some.
So by far it looks like the easy winner now for indie films was the DVX100. At least by the listing in the back of this magizine.
