Indie Rain Gear for equip

Does anyone know of any good rain gear for equipment that no-budget indie groups use? Any DIY stuff, or even reasonably priced alternatives to the real deal? I'm looking for something to protect the mic and camera in light rain; something that does not make a loud noise when rain drops hit it. I don't want to use anything that would cause unwanted sounds the mic would pick up.

Would that work for the mic as well? I want to use something that doesn't make a loud obtrusive sound when water hits it. I have a blimp with muff, but wasn't sure if that was enough protection in the rain, as well as buffing the loud thump of rain hitting the blimp/muff. I've read they use 'pigs hair' in hollywood......
