Indie Filmmaking

Hey all. I'm a member of the dvinfo.net and hollywoodcamerawork.us forums. I've heard about this forum and wanted to drop by to let you know of a guide that I had created. It's not an instructional document but more of well, a guide (hence the name). :)

This guide is really geared towards beginners, but I've had a few experienced people even say that they got something new out of it.

You can view it at my website www.bohoc.org and just click on "Indie Filmmaking Guide" to view it.

Thanks for checking it out and I hope that you get something useful out of it.

Thanks,
Adam Rench

There are people from all ranges of abilities here. View some of the recent sci-fi short films to see the wide range of abilities. Welcome to the forums.

Just updated the guide - I wanted to track how many times the guide was downloaded so I put it as an attachment on my message board. So if you want to download it you have to register on my board - but don't worry I won't use your contact info AT ALL!! I just wanted to know how many times the guide was being downloaded. :)

You can get version 1.5 at http://www.bohoc.org/guide.htm

Just uploaded a newer version of the guide. It's now version 1.7. Not much has changed, but I did add a section on Lighting and a few things I found interesting.

Thanks.

Hello all - figured I would just reuse this thread. No need to overpopulate with more posts. Just wanted to let you know I updated my guide again. Again, it's for beginners mostly. Experienced folks may still get some use out of it but it should prove to be a decent read.

Thanks.

Hi all,

I hadn't posted an update to my guide because I've been quite busy lately. I'm producing a feature film (finally!) But I've taken the things that I've learned while in the pre-production stages of my feature film and added it to the guide. I've also updated the older and out of date stuff to the best of my knowledge. I hope you get something out of it.

Indie Filmmaking Guide

Thanks,
Adam
