Yes, I am plugging a filmmaking blog, but I'm also looking for you folks who'd love to air out your dirty laundry from working on set.
SAMIC is an unabashed blog dedicated to the amazing feats and $@%#-ups of independent filmmaking. I speak from personal experience in both categories and I chat with other people in my position who have something to share about their recent experiences. This rant-fest of mine is new, and I'm also from Seattle, so I draw only from the industry around me. But as funky as some of the productions can get get up here, I s*%t you not there is some amazing talent up here.
Now if only we could manifest that with the left-brained, common sense logic that God empowered us with and take this industry to the next level.
That's the intent of this blog. To peel apart the top layers and get to core of what makes certain s*%t-shows more of a pile and less of a show... but with real theories and helpful answers to police our own. So if you want to give me your story, I will happily put your gripe into my next article and lovingly fall on the self-incriminating grenade so I catch most the flack and not you.
