Thats not that great of a deal, wait until the last week.
one of my co workers got a BluRay burner for $175 i think, retail was $500 on it...

FCS 2 was marked at $525 at my local store the last week.

Maybe they're not really going out of business but simply trying the Cartman method for turning a business around?

That method is quite common in New York City. I have seen businesses have a going out of business sale problem once a year for the last 20 years.

There is a clothing store called Conway's in Manhattan that literally has a going out of business sale once a month. They reel in the tourists quite regularly.

0% Discount?!?! No wonder they went out of business. lol

Yeah, I remember when they closed the store near me a while ago. They were having a going-out-of-business clearance sale, and I was totally underwhelmed by the prices. It seemed no different from a typical weekly sale. Most prices seemed actually so close to those at other nearby stores that it hardly made a difference, and I had to wonder if CompUSA was really serious about trying to get rid of inventory.

Apparenlty they're only serious about going out of business.

Then again, is it surprising?
Clearly they haven't done a good job of running their business, should we be shocked that they're blowing it at the 11th hour too?
:)
