Inception

And to be clear, I said above that I loved this movie on every level -- except for the last shot.

Funny you mention that as its the only bit I actually thought was interesting.

Sure the zero gravity might have been a great bit of eye candy but like a few other people here I just didn't feel any interest in what was going on and all that bloody mindless shooting and explosions, overdone and boooring. Sorry not a patch on Memento and very dissappointing IMO.

Yeah, watched this again.

I hated the ambiguity of the ending the first time, but this time, I felt better about it. Mostly because I don't think it matters if the top falls or not. Not because Cobb didn't care anymore, but because it wouldn't mean anything either way.

Cobb was using Mal's totem, so that made it entirely unreliable. And using an unreliable totem fits Cobb's character.

Because the top never mattered, we can be sure the entire story wasn't a dream. The reality of Cobb's kids was too important to him.

If someone else said the same thing in the previous 460+ posts, my apologies.

Inception played on Fox here late yesterday .. it doesn't work on the box.

It re-enforced my belief that it should be experienced in the closed atmosphere and darkness of a cinema, on the large screen.

Cheers.

Could be the distance and time needed to get from the couch to the theatre .. versus the distance from the couch to the box.

But I'm overthinking it again, I'm the sort of guy who sees shows like 'Singin in the Rain' watching for continuity gaffs.

Cheers.
