I wasn't born or raised not even in the general area, but I am a filmmaker heading to Temple University in the Fall/Winter.

Hey folks, I have like others been a lurker [not as long as some] I just about shed a tear when I found this place because it just feels so friendly compared to the other forums I've spied on. I am also horrible at introductions, so you'll all have to forgive me. I am a filmmaker from the mid-west with a passion so deep in physical form it could drown the ocean.

I look forward to making some great friends, comrades, brothers-in-arms, and future collaborations. I still have a lot to learn and I hope that I can depend on the community's wise-men, and in return I too will return the favor whenever possible!

Welcome. I'm from Philly and unless there's a satellite campus, Temple is in North Philly. I used to teach in that area, which can be quite rough. But perhaps you'll live in West Philly or specifically Mount Airy? Mount Airy is a great area. All of those old houses, integrated neighborhoods and racial harmony, co-ops, and cool bookstores.

I'm excited to go to Temple U I hear good things about the school and the film sect. The west philly thing was a bit of a joke, I got the idea from the Fresh Prince theme song, but I'm psyched to already find a filmmaker Philly here.
