I wonder...
Not that ELVIS PRESLEY was special or anything...lol

*Not a political thread*

If someone gets drafted, like a filmmaker, is he/she put to serve in that area? Like communications intelligence or something...I dunno. If a comp sci grad gets drafted, does he/she wind up in a Tech position? Do chefs who get drafted wind up in the mess hall?

No freakin clue why that just crossed my mind. Input?

Sometimes, but not always. They do try to place you according to your aptitude (not necessarily your interests), but they have slots to fill. When it comes down to it, they put you where they need you.

I remember when I was in college and the marnies were there to recruit and one of the dudes asked me if I was intrested. I just straight up said I was gay! I mean I did the whole act just to see how'll they respond. Boy, did they quickly changed the subject and walk away from me quickly. HAHAH :) Maybe now its different. I honestly don't think a draft will happend.

yeah, theres nothing like a gay soldier. imagine what the interagation would be like. (in a gay tone) okay Mr, spead them legs. I need to make sure your not carrying any conceald weapons cause they're for bad boys." His Assult rifle is pink in color and has a pretty bow at the end of it. Theres like stickers of sponge bob on it. He always smells good when he's at battle. He's always behind all the soldiers, I don't know why. He's flexiable and can go through obsticles like a breeze. And he says yes sir, with love. :)

just one of those things you think about. I'm really good at pretending to be a civilian and hanging out at restaurants and listening for suspicious conversation...maybe (in the highly unlikely event of a draft ;) ) they'll let me do that.

Or, I'm also pretty apt when it comes to guarding ladies locker rooms and stuff. I could definitely serve my country. It's a sacrifice I'd have to make.

Does that count as a hobby, or just as creepy?

it counts as an aptitude. The best way for me to serve my country is to sit in Iraqi cafes or locker rooms.
