For those of you that know and care....

Just hopping online real quick to let you know our 35mm indie short project is in the can. 3 days of shooting, without too much of a haggle. A couple of complicated effects shots had to be worked out on set, and I could feel the hot needles poking in me as the entire crew stood looking at me to make the call.

Ran over to the post house this afternoon to review the telecine from film to HD and everything looked great. Nothing more exciting than the first day of dailies?

Leaving the office now to go pick up tapes to begin the lonely editing process...

See y'all in a year and a half then?

Tony, are you directing this or producing, craft services maybe? Hook it up with some footage man. Good luck on the project!

Peace!

He's got some big actors too. He has some behind the scene footage and some snap shots. I'm sure he'll post something so we can all be jealous.

You lucky, talented bastard!

Spidey, I'm not directing this one. But I have been involved since the very early stages of development. The director is Shawna Baca. (You may remember her as the girl in my bed in The Morning After)

She has directed a few award winning short films (one starring Tippi Hedren) and decided to take the plunge into the world of 35mm. And dragged me kicking and screaming the whole way (cuz I am executive producing and funding half the project, as well as visual effects coordinator and most importantly, editor.)

And PK is right. Big actor from the indie world anyway. Our leading actress is America Ferrera, from Real Women Have Curves, and the upcoming Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

Just laid down my first rough cut of one of the heavier scenes tonight. I think this is going to be a really nice piece.

As we get further into the editing process, I'll see about posting some clips for you guys.

Now for sleep!
