Sennheiser recently superseded their very popular G2 series with the G3 series, and although I've seen this topic touched on in a few threads, I haven't yet found a thread dedicated for it.

The bullet point upgrades are better frequency response, 42 mhz tuning for more frequencies, and the camera mounted receivers use "adaptive diversity." Essentially, it's using the output cable on the receiver as the secondary receiving antenna. Therefore, unless someone knows this, they might be asking "where's the second antenna?"
Pricing will be a bit more expensive than the G2 series.
They have also added a new "G" band to replace their "C" band which had occupied the 700 mhz range. That new G band is 566-608 mhz for those keeping track.
We have some G3 rackmount systems in stock, but most of the G3 ENG related sku's won't be arriving to dealers until early August (according to Sennheiser as of today).
