in a trunk HELP!

One thing to consider...in a real trunk, it's gonna be dark, so any lighting you do will be "unnatural".

So do whatever pleases you artistically. It's an opportunity. :)

Thanks you guys for all your responses I have decided to try the seats folded down and the cam in back trunk closed with the light from above the car being turned every two seconds for street lights. I will also try I will also try putting a small ikea lite behind the actor as a sillhoette and shoot from the rear end of the trunk, and yet another with the car actually moving down the city street with the rear seats folded down and see what the realistic light is.

I will post the shot when i finish.

My first thought was black screen as others suggested. Maybe that won't work with your script or maybe you enjoy the challenge of a difficult but fun scene. Even so, I would keep the black screen open as an option if your shots don't turn out well. I always find it fun as viewer to have only a soundtrack and my imagination for a brief stint during a film. This is especially true in a dark theater.
