Hi Everybody,
I have a few Manfrotto 501 heads, some older than others, that as time has gone on no longer tilt as smoothly as they once did. The biggest problem is with that initial resistance and jerk if I haven't touched it for a minute or so. I know these aren't the greatest heads in the world, but they've all performed well for me at some point--as well as I needed them to--so the fact that they've deteriorated makes me think they just need a little loving and can get back to their original condition. And what's frustrating is the oldest one I have seemed to give the best fluid movement of all of them (until, I don't know, I sneezed the other day and it decided to get crappy like the rest of them).
Any suggestions on what specifically I can do to fix these? I've seen fluid grease available:
http://www.fullcompass.com/product/368775.html
Is that the answer?
Thanks
Zach
