Impossible to output 24p+2-3 pulldown as uncomp?

I mentioned this in another thread as a secondary question, but I'm now asking in its own thread since I'm getting desperate on this (this issue is becoming a bigger problem than the original question!).

I've been rendering my timeline for testing using the standard DV 24p (2-3 pulldown) template in Vegas, however I want to render as uncompressed for the final file that I will then compress externally to MPEG2 and burn to DVD. I want to render uncompressed so as not to suffer further DV compression artifacts. What render framerate setting do I use? None of the uncompressed AVI settings specifically says "2-3 pulldown" like the DV ones. There is one that says "23.976". Will that setting alone do the proper pull-down? Is this what I should use?

You don't want any pulldown at all, you want to make a 24P progressive DVD. So don't use any pulldown.

Or you could always use the included MainConcept MPEG encoder, which will automatically generate a proper 24P MPEG file.
