Importing/working with two different framerates

Hey,

I was wondering what happens when I import footage from two different sources, one being 720p 60fps & the other being 1080p 24fps into the same timeline.

What becomes affected? Is this possible to work with & pump out a finished product? Or does all of the footage need to be the same framerate?

Thanks

Not much, depends on the Sequence settings. 24fps may look a teeny tiny bit stuttery in a 30fps Sequence. You can mix the two together, that's fine. Watch out for Nesting Sequences, as Sequences can only Nest inside each other if they're the same frame rate. It's just issues with frame rate conversions. Going 24fps to 30fps you'll have added "fake" frames to stretch it out. Going 30fps to 24 fps you'll have "missing" frames from cutting it down to match. But you can, in fact, drop both into the same Sequence to edit, you'll just have to be aware of frame rate conversion issues.

Personally, if I am producing a project, a decision is made, based on several factors, what frame rate we will standardize on, and that's what the editor gets, period. But, when I'm just hired as an editor, I don't always have that luxury...
