importing quicktime movie with alpha

I am trying to use a quicktime file with an alpha channel and I am unable to get Vegas to recognize the alpha channel. Is there settings that I need to change or can anyone tell me if this is possible.

Right-click on the .MOV in the Media Pool to bring up the properties. Select the appropriate alpha channel property in the drop-down menu at the bottom.
