So last night I was messing around with Vegas and helping my friend import some footage and noticed that everytime (While importing) there was a break in the time-code it would automaticaly create a new clip. Does anyone know if there is any way to do this in FCP? Thanks

Capture the full tape. Then choose from the MARK menu, DV START/STOP DETECT. This will break up the clip into several subclips.
