Importing HDV footage from canon XH A1

I've just made the upgrade to CS3 from PP2. I installed the canon 24f preset stuff, dropped everything in the right folders, got it open.

however.

i imported some footage from my camera, and sometimes it imports it at 44 fps.... or 30 fps.. when it was shot at 24f.

i really don't know why this is happening or how to fix it.

help!

update, just tried interpreting footage,, but now the video is at normal speed and the audio is super slow..

i wish i knew what was going on :( programs frustrate me so much when u aren't the most computer literate person..

hope someone can help me with this problem soon!

now i just tried capturing stuff, and again, it reads it as 44.96 FPS.... wuts the deal?
 
hmm, my brother made a suggestion.. Is ANYONE editing canons 24f in premier pro CS3? Is there simply not yet a patch for it? Because from what i see, the 24f preset is for pp2.0 or less. Nothing for CS3. I simply installed the same file into CS3, and it worked, but alas, these problems are arising.
 
disjecta answered my question, and it turns out that there is no support yet for 24f in cs3.
 
No 24f support in CS3? What the???

Kinda sways my plans to spend thousands upgrading to CS3. Whats the deal with that? Is there an ETA for 24f support in CS3?
