Importing Camtasia footage into FCP7

My company wants to do a production that will include an on-screen computer and PPT presentation captured on a PC using Camtasia. I'm going to have to edit it in FCP7, so I had my colleague output it as the highest quality MOV file. I was concerned about compression when I saw that 6+ minutes was only 45 MB, but I loaded it onto my Mac. It plays fine in QT, so I loaded it into FCP. It plays in the viewer reasonably well, so i dropped it into the time line. The red line popped up, so I let it do its rendering thing for 7 or 8 minutes. It now plays from the timeline, but the quality suffered a major downgrade. The type is fuzzy, etc. What am I missing? Is anybody doing this successfully? What settings do I need to change?

BTW, my boss wants to insert the presenter in the foreground using green-screen, so that's another issue I have to tackle. That may be the easier one.

Thanks.
