importing audio in Final Cut Express

Is it possible to import a mp3 in final cut express? Do you have to convert it to a .AIFF file? If so, how do you do that with Sound Track, (not sound track pro)

Try importing it. I think it will convert as it imports. If not use QT Pro, or compressor, iTunes I believe will do it, if not directly then as a burn to disk. Your track will sound better if you skip the MP3 and bring in the original.

I only have the mp3. I'll try converting it in itunes next.

Convert to AIF first. You can do this in the QuickTime player.
